He's a Yokai, very arrogant, violent, and confident in his powers.He is also portrayed to be a brat, who is used to getting his way. He is honest for the most part. He take pleasure in meaningless massacres. He considered human to be fools who undertake unneeded and impetuous actions that help no one however he recognizes that they have the strength and desire to do whatever they want, no matter what. As a result of his experiences,he develops slightly becoming more calm and open-minded.
