Xerma's friend, Drax was fatally wounded and thrown into lava where the angel couldn't save him. He was forced to leave Drax to die, making the latter angry. Xerma grew up after their intense battle to be a more monochrome angel who simply guards Saintsville against evil shadows from the deadly forests. He's protective of Jinx because of how the cat wizard nearly died in the battle with Drax. He often checks up on his friends to make sure they're doing well, including Drax. Xerma still cares.
