The archetypal wuxia hero is someone carving out his own path in the world of rivers and lakes, cleaving only to their own personal code of honor. People can be Gods, demons, spirits, monsters, all sorts of animals and plants (because Chinese believe everything can grow into a spirit/god). set in ancient or pre-modern China. the use of magic is common.
