Taira is the princess of Taige, she switched places with her brother Tykan when they were young to prevent him from partaking in the trials for the crown, as he, a boy with an illness similar to osteoporosis, would have surely died otherwise. As Taira's father, the king, is planning on retiring, he has arranged a marriage for her as he thinks she's his son. Taira, however is extremely ruluctant to deceive her fiancee and opens up to her about her secret.
