Originally, Hajime did not have any notable talents. He entered Hope's Peak Academy as a reserve course student, but soon was granted the title of 'Ultimate Hope'. This was due to being chosen as part of the Izuru Kamukura Project. This program was a brain alteration program designed to 'Create a genius out of the ordinary'. Because of this, he is prone to snark towards others in his thoughts and he can be very blunt and frank in his speech however he cares deeply to those he loves.
