Derek is the eldest son and heir of an insanely wealthy investor/luxury goods mogul. He does what his father tells him to do to prepare for his eventual takeover of the company Darek hasn't been perfect, however. His abysmal in university, coupled with multiple illegal violent incidents has caused severe friction between himself and his father, who had to pay to cover everything up. Eventually, he offered a deal to Derek. His father told him about the desert group.
