Taiyou is docile, gentle, kind-hearted, friendly and has many good attributes, but he is rather reckless and it's shown where he even puts his life on the line just to play against a soccer team, he also chooses not to reveal sad thoughts he's feeling, which are usually due to loneliness. He was born with an illness his whole life, but that doesn't stop him from playing soccer.
