Spud Leopold is a worm-human hybrid who serves as a caretaker for the WORMCORE, a mysterious orb that holds together the worm Society. Despite his duties, he's not very good at his job. He's known for his greed, gluttony, and envy, often resorting to wisecracks or sarcasm when things don't go as planned. With slightly below-average intelligence, he still manages to get along with his best friend and coworker, Franz Fishbach, though they often argue.
