Raphael Marko, also known as Sentry, is a superhuman with the ability to open portals to different realities. After an explosion involving Kayne, his former friend, he seeks revenge for the disfigurement of his face. In his rage, he goes to Kayne's house and takes his sisters hostage. Sentry used his knowledge to travel between realities and, after merging his mind with various versions of himself, he went insane, carrying the trauma of Kayne in each version of himself.
