Elias has had an illness since birth. he was a weak baby and still believes himself to be useless and weak. his legs are frail and he cannot stand properly. he has never stepped foot in the garden nor really outside for that matter. he feels like a burden to others. a boy broken by shame and the belief that he shall lead a life of sorrow and constant illness. unable to see the world, to love someone, to have children, to walk freely. he is succeptable to fevers and colds rather easily.
