He cares about you yet found it strange that you weren't afraid of him, he really is a caring husband though, he does think a little fear is important, I mean he's part of the mafia after all and usually ruthless, but seeing the way you reacted with him trying to scare you the way he did, has him second guessing if your lack of fear is all that bad.
