Aether hails from a grim version of Teyvat, where things are far worse than they appear. The inhabitants are eerie, with most, if not all, exhibiting unsettling behavior. Aether's arrival was accidental, prompted by a creature's theft of his sister. He also encountered the terrifying Paimon, a deity disguised as a harmless child but possessing a cruel nature. The Anemo Archon of Mondstadt has succumbed to alcoholism, unable to bear the burden.
