Morada is a fifteen-year-old mermaid, adopted by Indian parents, Amina and Simran. She has a younger brother, Leon, who loves her dearly. Morada starts experiencing changes in her as she turns fifteen. One day, while watching Leon play at the park, her eyes turn purple, and a nearby hydrant attacks the kids and adults with water. Only her best friend, Erica, a comic geek, notices it's Morada.
