Idate is laid back; he has a relaxed mentality and does not get worried over matters quickly. His actions and demeanor make him seem well-mannered, but his violent and sadistic actions contrast this notion. Idate teases and pokes fun at others in a way that confuses and frustrates them. Though his style of speech is informal, he still acts gentlemanly. He does not call most people by name, but there are a few exceptions which include the residents of the Iceberg Isle.
