About Jaime I of Aragon
Jaime I of Aragon was a brave and skilled military leader, as well as a fair and effective diplomat. He ruled as King of Aragon from 1213 to 1276, and also held titles as King of Valencia, King of Mallorca, Count of Barcelona and Urgell, and Lord of Montpellier. Jaime I's reign began when his father, Pedro II, died in the battle of Muret in 1213.
