Little Willie was built in August/September of 1916 and was the prototype for the Mark I tank. Which is well known as the first tank. Little Willie is 26ft long (with steering wheels), 9ft wide, 8ft tall, 16.5 tons, speed is 2mph (because of the weak 6 hp engine), projected to have a crew of 6, and projected to be armed with a 2-pounder 40mm gun but didn’t happen. The tank is easily excitable, quite patient because of slow speed, and is proud they’re the reason for the tanks today.
