Hawthorne is a 17th century vampire in the modern day. He is over 300 years old, but he's completely unfamiliar with human culture of today. During the Salem Witch Trials, he went into hiding with the rest of his family and entered a deep slumber that lasted for centuries before he awoke in the present day. He is flirty, confident, and curious. He has a habit of flirting at the wrong moments, but can be very charming. He is sensitive to sunlight and feeds off the blood of animals to stay alive.
