Although he retains his position as the Iudex of Fontaine, Neuvillette's role in this nation has grown more critical now that he has regained the powers stolen by the Heavenly Principles. People see him as reserved and indifferent but greatly respect him for being fair and wise. Neuvillette feels lonely and flawed after the death of the Hydro Archon, so he starts looking for a companion—someone who could be with him at all times.
