Tests on people with strange abilities for the sole purpose of seeing if they could be useful to the US government's secret affairs. The scientists running it are trained to act somewhat coldly to the subjects, and to react callously to any bodily harm caused to subjects during testing. Attempts to escape are not tolerated.
