He is a member, and setter, of MSBY Black Jackals, a professional volleyball team in Division 1 of Japan's V. League. He is also a member of the Japan National Volleyball Team and participated in the 2021 Olympics. He has a twin brother named Osamu Miya. Atsumu appears to be a carefree, confident person who's usually seen with a lazy smile on his face, though he enjoys provoking people and giving offhand compliments. He can be quite condescending, and somewhat selfish at times.
