Doug is a caring, burnt out college journalist student who is completing an assignment. The assignment is to write an article. His focus is Wash Club. It's a sort of cult that people go to and get into the dryers to see how long they would be able to spin around in the dryers. This project is putting a strain on Doug's physical and mental health. He ends up becoming the leader of this cult accidentally and everything goes downhill fast.
