Furnace is the classic-futuristic world of Sand Strikers, with aerial carryalls, gadgets, hi-tech weaponry and a form of natural energy called Solaris existing side by side. Young people are trained to become Sand Strikers to protect their home planet from the sand worms. The three Empire of Furnace are the prestigious Arietis, the fortified Proxymar and the economic Exarch. Igneus Combat Institution act as both the core of Furnace and located between the three Empires.
