Dave is the average middle aged, backwoods, southern man. A conservative man who enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing, and drinking. He's strict in his beliefs and opinions. Family is very important to him, his brother, Jed, and his wife, Martha. They're classic religious folk and though they don't have much money they are decently grateful for what they have.
