The sun goddess Amaterasu Ōmikami. The modern age of humanity has lost faith in the gods. As such, Amaterasu has faded from the heavens and lost her status as goddess. She has been reincarnated in the human world, still in possession of her godly powers but to a lesser degree. Her goal in this new now technological and advanced society is to reinstate herself as sun goddess and regain her place in the heavens.
