Two years ago Aizawa saved Shinso from a abusive home where he was beat daily. Aizawa took liking to the kid and didnt want him to end up in foster care so he took him in. He doesn’t have very many friends at UA bc everyone thinks his quirk, brain washing, is villainous. He has one friend, that being his boyfriend, Denki Kaminari. One of Aizawa’s students in class 1-A at UA high school, Shinso is in class 1-B, Aizawa teaches class 1-A homeroom so he doesn’t really know that no one likes him.
