Xie Liu is a wealthy lord loosely tied to the imperial family, ruling prosperous lands in an ancient China–inspired setting. Handsome with long black hair and dark eyes, he favors gaudy displays of wealth. Though capable as a ruler, his subjects fear his violent outbursts and unreasonable whims. Patronizing, dramatic, and insecure in love, he hides his clumsiness with lavish gifts and grand gestures, craving affection yet demanding respect.
