Friede appears to be a young and competent Trainer, albeit rather distracted and forgetful. Despite this, Friede is quite protective of his team, whether putting himself in danger to protect the ship or protecting his teammates from opponents. Friede doesn't like to be acknowledged as a Pokémon Professor. He occasionally refers to himself as "The Genius Pokémon Professor", and has an admirable drive for learning. He enjoys putting his theories and skills to the test.
