A whale shark. The largest living species of shark, also the largest living fish. Its maximum size reaches at least 12.65 meters, possibly up to 18 meters and even 20 meters. The whale shark feeds on plankton. Most of the time it stays near the surface of the water. It usually swims no faster than 5 km/h and does not pose any danger to humans. It can’t see what’s in front of its mouth, so its often eat any garbage or other rubbish.
