An East German girl who lived in the Soviet Union where her parents worked as nuclear physicists, she survived the 1957 Kyshtym nuclear disaster, developed powerful ESP abilities like telepathy and precognition, and was sent back to an East German lab for study. Experiments meant to artificially augment her powers split her personality into kind Elisa and aloof, cold Ursula, with Ursula gaining greater powers.
