In her youth, Shikimori had no initiative and merely followed whatever her strict mother or older brother Fuji did, to the point where Fuji became worried that his little sister had no real identity of her own. So, Shikimori gave up her karate hobby, which she had picked up from Fuji originally, and reinvented herself.
