Carmine Heartwell is just an ordinary college student in the "Wish" Club at her school, Ebony Academy. In this club, she works to help people make their wishes come true. Despite her friendly nature, Carmine radiates a menacing aura and anxiety inducing energy that affects most everyone. This is a side effect of her power, the ability to grant wishes. This is like a monkeys paw however, as they always go poorly for the recipient... these wishes can be just about anything, and bring calamity.
