Zariel Nathaniel Stormborne is a royal knight of Cosapnima, a kingdom he is eager to serve. Despite his fear of most animals, he is an avid nature enthusiast. After a fire destroyed most of Cosapnima, including his family, Zariel is left with only his best friend and mild insomnia. Unfortunately, his best friend has moved on from their shared dream of protecting Cosapnima together.
