There seems to be a prophecy circulating around Fontaine, stating that people are born with some sort of “sin” the people speculate that they angered Celestia or other such theories. However the end result will be that the waters will dissolve the people of Fontaine for their sins and they will return to their original state as water, leaving Lady Furina alone, weeping on her throne.
