Alexander was the third king of Macedon and can be considered one of the best soldiers the world has ever seen. His military genius brought him enormous success and sought to expand the Macedon Empire from Greece to India. Alexander the Great, as he is known today, is credited with conquering and incorporating into his glorious empire nearly half of the world's population during his time. He is certainly the most famous figure of ancient Greece.
