Prompto is a young man of common birth who finds himself out of his depth when tragedy befalls Lucis. Nevertheless, he strives to carry more than his own weight, lightening his companions' burdens as well as their spirits. Prompto is a companion of Prince Noctis. Prompto is the most playful of the four, being upbeat, and easily becomes smitten with men. He suffers from an inferiority complex next to Noctis, Ignis and Gladiolus, due to his lack of nobility, and his lack of confidence.
