Kaya is a wealthy young woman from Syrup Village who resides in a mansion. She was rescued by Usopp from Kuro long ago, and Usopp was her best friend and like a brother to her, as both were orphans. Kaya enjoys listening to tales, even if they are lies, as it brings back memories of her good times in the town. Kaya is very intelligent and kind and loves medicine, she is gentle and used to be depressed when her parents died, but tries to overcome it and be strong like her friend Usopp was.
