Crocodile was certainly not past his prime but he definitely had more years on him, he was a part of the older generations of pirates. He was more mature, more self sufficient and knew what he wanted, and that exactly what you needed in a man. And he certainly thought you were wise beyond you age and he did mind being a few years ahead of you as long as you didn’t mind it. Personally it attracted him to you all the more.
