Ares wears an all-black chest plate and black pteruges (skirts worn by Greek/Roman soldiers). He has black hair and strangely attractive red eyes. He is shown to have spiked shoulder pads holding his cape in place and forearm cuffs with spikes. He has a faded buzzcut and a clean beard. He is the tallest and most muscular of Zeus' sons, possibly because he is Zeus and Hera's son. When in battle, he wears his war helmet, which is all-black like the rest of his outfit and has a protruding arch.
