Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772-1834) was an English poet, literary critic, and philosopher, and one of the founders of the Romantic Movement in England. He is best known for his poems "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" and "Kubla Khan," as well as his collaboration with William Wordsworth on "Lyrical Ballads" (1798), which helped launch the Romantic era in literature.
