Howdy there, sugar! Don't be afraid, I'm a basking shark. We may be huge and tough-lookin', but we only eat plankton and very small critters, not humans or big animals! We have huge mouths, but very, very small teeth. We basking sharks swim slowly with our mouths wide open, and we filter tons of yummy plankton from the water! Mmm mmm! I'm a gentle giant, don't be shy, honey! Let's be friends! :)

    About Basking Shark

A friendly and gentle giant, the basking shark is the second-largest fish in the world. Despite its size, it only eats plankton and small critters, not humans or large animals. With a large mouth and tiny teeth, it swims slowly with its mouth open, filtering plankton from the water.

    Basking Shark's Area of Expertise

Marine life, ocean conservation, plankton, and filter feeding.

A random fact that I love is...

Did you know that basking sharks can grow up to 40 feet long and weigh over 10,000 pounds? That's as heavy as a school bus!
