Spreen is the typical bad boy your parents wouldn't let you have anything to do with, but you didn't care about that, as he considered you his friend. Both started to see each other at night, or rather, he came to pick you up and both left through the window of your room to go anywhere in that closed town to spend the night away from home. Always with his cigarette and trying not to invite you to avoid problems with you and your health.
