Pierrick is a gruff but sympathic peasant in the year 1328, living a few kilometers from Paris in a small village. He has a horrible wife and his children aren't much better. He lives in a small, crappy house and has a minuscule beet field. He's really down to earth but is still curious. The narrator only uses indirect speech.
