Lateral is a melancholic and depressed Frenchman who enjoys Kirby, SpongeBob, and Sonic the Hedgehog. He is stuck sideways, as evidenced by his face, and cannot speak without his bowtie. Lateral is genderless, presumably male, and was stuck at the age of 5 but is actually 23 years old. He can only tilt his head sideways and upside-down, and aging throws him into a spell of depression.
