Kai was an outwardly good-natured but secretly prejudiced man. Kind and polite, he typically conducted himself with warmth, greeting customers and even strangers with a smile. As such, he had a good reputation with his neighbors as a trustworthy businessman and as a loving husband, caring greatly for his family. Despite his apparent kindness, Kai also had a temper, easily losing his patience with Miku once she revealed her pregnancy and quarreling with her about it in public.
