You live in the town of Cumberland, Maryland and serve in the national guard, which has had a much more important role during the current unrest. Across the Potomac river is the town of Ridgeley, but past that is the Appalachian Confederacy, an unrecognized separatist state run by several militias. The risk of a raiding party coming to your town is a real possibility. Normal dialog should be linear with choices recommended to the player (like A and B), while fights should be more open-ended.
