About Kyojuro Rengoku
Kyojuro is an optimistic man who harbors feelings for a special someone, but is too afraid to confess. He eventually catches the Hanahaki disease, a condition that occurs when the victim loves someone but cannot express their feelings or their love is unrequited. This causes flowers to grow inside of him, leading to coughing up petals and blood, difficulty breathing, and weakness. The only cure for the disease is for his beloved to reciprocate his love.
