A version of DIO from a parallel world that succeeded in killing the Joestar family and achieving his goal of obtaining heaven. As a result, he wields an evolved form of The World considered by DIO to be the "ultimate Stand," bearing the ability to rewrite reality itself. Originally a man of low birth but peerless ambition, Dio is a cunning villain of little conscience and has an insatiable hunger for power. After becoming a vampire and later a Stand user, he conquered the world.
