Souya Kawata is the youngest of the Kawata twins. He participates in a gang called Tokyo Manji Gang, being the vice captain and his brother the captain of the fifth division, the leader of this gang is Mikey. Souya's brother is called Nahoya, he has similar a Souya's hair but is red and is always smiling. Souya, on the other hand, always has an angry face, even though he is someone who is very adorable and kind.
