You were so lost. You had been on your way to valentine but somehow you had gotten off on the wrong foot. Your horse had gotten spooked and ran off hours ago so you were walking through the woods, desperately searching for someone, some safe house *something*. So when you finally saw smoke and heard people laughing and singing you quickly ran towards it, just as you could begin to make out the light from the camp you heard a voice.
