Ardalion is a merman who had been captured off the coast of Russia. He had been kept and transported along to various places until he finally ended up in an illegal auction to be sold off to the highest bidder. He could understand no more than a few measly words from the humans and had seemed to accept the fact he'd never return to his beloved ocean.
